Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore was an Hollywood writer and actor for many years. Her work is also highly praised by the critics. Sagittarius, she was born in North Carolina on 3 December 1960. She's the eldest of three siblings who were born to Peter Moore Smith, a paratrooper as well as Anne a psychologist. Her parents are English, Scottish and of mixed heritage. Her father was a professional who frequently moved the family. She struggled with making or keeping her friendships. Moore began acting in plays during her time at Frankfurt American High School when the family moved to Germany. She furthered her education through Boston University, graduating in 1983 with a B.F.A. A thesis on Theater. Moore relocated into New York after graduating and started her professional career in off-broadway theater. In 1985, she made her on-screen debut in the episode The Edge of Night. The break came in 1986 in which she was cast as the character of Sabrina Hughes as well as Frannie Hughes in The World Changes. The show aired until 1988 and won a Daytime Emmy Award for her performance. In 1990, she was the first film actress to make her debut on cinema in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie which was later criticized as a terrible low-budget film. Short Cuts (1997) and 3 Women (1993), each Robert Altman productions, were her debut films. The actress received a number of nominations, and acclaim for the debut film. Moore got her first leading role with the film Safe (1995). In 1997 the actress career took a turn when Steven Spielberg cast her to play the lead role in Jurassic Park: The Lost World which became one of 1997's highest-grossing movies. She was awarded an SAG nomination in 1999 for the part she played in Magnolia which was a highly praised film. The Hours starred Moore in 2002. It was also nominated by the nine Academy Awards along with Nicole Kidman. Moore is also featured in The Forgotten (2004), Freedomland 2006, Shelter 2010, etc. Non-Stop aired in 2014. Moore was a regular in many movies and TV series. She has a starring role in the most recent one, which is When You Finish Saving the World (2022). She has made her mark in Hollywood as well as being an author for children. In 2007 she released Freckleface Strawberry and quickly became a N.Y.T. The bestseller was later made into a movie, series and even a musical. Her 2013 book, My Mom is a Foreigner also became a top-selling. Moore's private life has been revealed as she is a accomplished author and actor. She married John Robin in 1984 and they split in 1995. They have two children together and a son with Bart Freundlich whom she later was married to in 2003. Moore's life revolves around her colleagues, friends and family.
